A bookkeeper for an auto repair shop abruptly quit at the height of the COVID-19 crisis. Upon her leaving it became apparent she had made incorrect adjustments to the company’s QuickBooks file, which caused them to file an incorrect sales tax report. The report caused the repair shop to owe additional sales tax, and made them unable to apply for a PPP loan.
Christie Bookkeeping was able to fix the QuickBooks file, correct the postings, and file an amended sales tax report. The auto repair shop owner was able to complete the PPP process and procure the payroll assistance.
